Shipping Policy
Orders are delivered worldwide using a range of fully tracked courier services. We usually subsidise a percentage of all shipping costs, the rates of which are frequently updated, enabling us to offer you the most competitive prices for your location but cannot guarantee a subsidy for each order.
For time-limited preorders, an estimated delivery date is specified but not guaranteed. We’ll be doing all we can to keep to our estimated delivery date, but in the event that delivery may be delayed, we’ll immediately inform you via email and the campaign’s update page.
Before pre-orders are dispatched, we will notify you to ensure the delivery address is up to date. All delivery times are estimates only and, while we will endeavour to avoid delay, we will not be liable to you for any loss or damage arising from delay in delivery.
When production approaches completion, just before books are dispatched, we will notify you to ensure the delivery address is up to date. It is your responsibility to ensure this information is correct and provided within 5 working days of receipt of our email so that we can dispatch your order efficiently. A failure to respond within such timeframe may result in a delay to the delivery of your order or it being sent to an incorrect address.
There may be a territorial restriction on our ability to sell or deliver to you.
Delivery
All Read-Only Memory books and additional products are currently dispatched from the United Kingdom.
We aim to ship orders within 3 days. Upon dispatch, you will receive a notification via email with a tracking link included.
Standard delivery times are:
UK: 4 to 6 working days
Europe (Western): 5 to 9 working days
Europe (Central and Eastern): 5 to 13 working days
Rest of the world: 8 to 13 working days
Duties and Taxes
Any import duties and taxes are charged once the order has reached the destination country and these charges must be paid by the recipient. Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges as customs policies vary by country. If you have any questions related to import duties and taxes you are advised to contact your local customs authority.
If you refuse to accept delivery of an order from Read-Only Memory, you are responsible for the original delivery charges, any import duties and taxes that are incurred on the order, and the cost of returning the order to Read-Only Memory. This amount will be deducted from any refund due to you. If the return charges exceed the amount that you originally paid plus the original delivery costs, the order will be abandoned, and you will not receive a refund.
Packaging
We take care to package your order securely for delivery. While most of our books are shrink-wrapped and shipped in card-wrap mailers, packaging may differ based on the specific product and stock and delivery availability.
Lost or delayed orders
If your order hasn’t arrived within our advised shipping times, please contact us at hello@readonlymemory.com and we will investigate this for you on the double. We aim to answer all order queries within 24 hours during the working week (Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5:30pm) and any weekend enquiries on the following Monday.

Returns and Refunds
We accept all returns requested within 14 calendar days. In such cases, we ask that the item (and additional product, if applicable) is returned in its original condition at your own cost and risk. If you’d like to return a product, please get in touch at hello@readonlymemory.com to arrange this. We will endeavour to process your query within 3 working days and contact you via email about its status. All refunds exclude postage costs.
If you receive the wrong goods or the goods you receive are damaged in transit, please get in touch at hello@readonlymemory.com within 7 calendar days. Please also provide a description of the damage or photographs, which will also help us immensely in avoiding damages in the future. We will endeavour to process your query within 4 working days and contact you via email about its status. We will supply you with replacement goods or provide you with a refund within 14 calendar days.
If the goods you receive are defective, please get in touch at hello@readonlymemory.com within 30 calendar days. Please also provide a description of the damage or photographs, which will also help us immensely in avoiding damages in the future. We will endeavour to process your query within 4 working days and contact you via email about its status.
If you change your mind about your order before the goods are dispatched, please email us at hello@readonlymemory.com. Please provide as much detail as possible. We will endeavour to process your query within 4 working days and contact you via email about its status. In the event that payment has been taken, we will refund this to you within 14 calendar days.
